I wanted to share with you a new recipe I tried last night. I have a horrible sweet tooth, and it usually causes me to fail at eating healthy. Once I have one sweet, it turns into 2, then 3, 4,5 ... OK you get the picture. But seriously, I have such a hard time when I am around sweets. Being a mommy of 3 little boys we always have some sort of sweet or snack in the house and sometimes I have no self control and indulge a little too much.
I have discovered a recipe I can make while doing the 21 Day Fix that fits my plan and helps with my cravings. It's a Shakeology mug cake recipe. It was really good! It wasn't overly sweet but it helped me feel better :-)
Ingredients:
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
1 Scoop Shakeology (I used chocolate flavored)
1 Tbsp sweetener of your choice (optional, I added a tiny amount of sugar. Next time I might just leave it out though.)
Dash of Salt
1 Egg Peanut Butter
3 Tbsp water
Directions:
1. In a mug, mix together your baking powder, Shakeology, Sweetener and salt.
2. Add your egg and water and mix it all in.
3. Add a dollop of peanut butter into the middle and push it down a bit.
4. Microwave for a minute.
5. Enjoy your 21 Day Fix approved dessert!
