Pretty Bows and Pink

Hey guys! Can You believe how fast this month is going? It's the last day of July already which is crazy! I guess the only good thing about summer moving quick is that fall fashions are just around the corner, which is my favorite season to dress for. Boots, scarves, jackets, love them all! But for now, let's just focus on summer.

Day to Night Summer Outfit

Happy Friday! I am so excited that it is Friday because we leave for vacation this Sunday! If you can't already tell from the mention of this in most of my previous blog posts, I am overly excited for our family vacation. This is the first vacation for our boys and the first one we've been on in 5 years. This outfit post is something I will be taking on vacation for those days where we are doing something outdoor all day and night, I can just throw on a jean jacket to help with the chill of the night. Added bonus: Jean jackets are light weight so they are easy to carry along with you.

Day Time Look
I love mint mixed with white. A majority of the time that I'm wearing the color mint, i will pair it with white pants, shorts or even a white jean jacket.

This top is one of my favorites! It is very light and airy, perfect for hot summer days. Plus, it was very affordable! I bought this at Old Navy.

Night Time Look

To change this look to a night time look, I simply added this jean jacket and a pair of hoop earrings with little diamonds around it. Easy enough, yet it changed the look of the entire outfit.

I got these sandals at Walmart and I love them! They are very comfortable and fashionable at the same time.

Top: Old Navy  (Similar)
Jean jacket: Old (Similar)
Shoes: Walmart
Earrings: Old (Similar

Hair: Curled around a curling iron.

Thanks for reading! How do you change up your daytime outfit once the night hits?

Makeup Tutorial: Everyday Neutral Look

Hey there! Being a mom to 2 toddlers can make it hard to get ready some days. You'll find me in a pair of yoga pants, hair in a messy bun, and no makeup a few days a week. But when I get the chance to do my hair and makeup I will. I'm a girly girl and enjoy dressing up and looking nice. I am by no means a makeup artist but I do my makeup the way that I know how to and I enjoy the way it looks.

Potty Training: What Worked for us

Potty training is one of those things that every parent dreads. Sure, it's great amazing once they are potty trained but trying to potty train can be a nightmare. We struggled with potty training for over a year. Trying off and on when he was two and a half, he just didn't want anything to do with it. I felt like he was going to be in high school wearing diapers. I'd be the mom that had to follow him to school to change his diaper every few hours. OK, maybe I freaked out a little bit, worrying that it was never going to happen. He just didn't seem to care, he was perfectly content in wearing his diaper.

Wearing a Scarf in the Summer

Morning all and sorry for the missing post yesterday. We've been so busy with getting ready for vacation that I ended up not being home all day. Today I bring you an outfit that I like to wear during summer time. I think scarves may be my favorite accessory. It's funny because when scarves first became popular to wear a few years ago I hated the trend. I don't know why but I just didn't like the look that was created when people wore scarves. I think maybe it's because that was back when I wore a lot of Hollister and American Eagle t-shirts instead of actually dressing more girly.

July Ipsy Bag

Hi guys! The middle of the month is always my favorite time because I get my Ipsy box in the mail. It feels like Christmas every time, opening up the little bag and seeing all of the fun products I get to try out. I love the surprise of subscription boxes. One day I'd like to try some others out , but for now Ipsy is all I need.

Office Attire

I used to work at a bank and had to dress professional everyday. The dress code called for business casual, which means we didn't have to wear blazers every day or dress suits (unless we wanted to). This made it fun to try out different styles of outfits that were professional but not over the top.

Simple in White

Hey guys! My style is very simple and casual a lot of the time. I'd say 4/7 days a week I dress more on the casual side. This outfit is one of those outfits. I love the how the shirt just flows over my stomach. The top stretches to make it even more comfortable.

I paired the white strapless top with my favorite skinny jeans from Aeropostale. My shoes (sorry I'm horrible at remembering to get pictures of my shoes) are white and grey striped flats (seen in this post).

The earring were hand made by my mom and the necklace adds a slight pop of color.

The back of the shirt ties together into a very cute bow, making it very feminine.

Jeans: Aeropostale

How to Turn a Scarf into a Summer Shrug

I love wearing scarves in the winter time. They are a great way to dress up an outfit plus they help keep you warm! I always have a difficult time trying to figure out how to wear my scarves in the summer time. I don't want to get too hot but I love the colors and patterns on scarves. I figured out a way to tie up your scarf so that you can wear it as a nice shrug over a tank top.

Summer Bucket List

I realize that summer has already begun and I'm a little behind on posting my summer bucket list, but here it is anyways. Summer is not my favorite season, however, I still enjoy being able to go outside without bundling up in winter armor. Plus, my kids love playing outside and the best time for that is the summer. Sure, the heat can get crazy and the humidity makes my hair frizz out and look like I'm playing dress up as a clown, but nothing beats a summer BBQ, swimming, fairs and the smell of fresh cut grass.

(Photo taken by myself at Watkins Glen, NY)

Here is my list of things I want to do during the summer. Some of these things I may have already done and others will be done during my vacation at the end of this month. Either way, I will get them done!

OOTD: High Low Crop Top

Hey guys! Today's outfit is very casual yet girly. I bought this top at the Outlet Mall when I went to Ann Taylor. It was on sale for only $7.00 so I couldn't pass it up! I'm normally not a fan for crop tops, but this one was a bit longer than normal so it covers up my tummy. I kept this outfit dressed down with a pair of flip flops and capri's.

During the summer I like to be as comfortable as I can be. The heat and humidity are not my friend so the more lightweight items I wear the better. This shirt is very lightweight and breezy.

The design on the shirt is white leaves. I like the style of it. I feel like I can wear this during fall time as well with a cute cardigan over it and with some skinny jeans.

Shirt: Ann Taylor
Shoes: Target

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day.

5 Reasons why Target is so Addicting

Ever wondered what it is that makes Target so addicting? I mean really, why are a good majority of us so addicted to Target? It's seriously a problem! I can't get enough of Target. If I could buy the whole store, I probably would! (Except my Husband wouldn't allow that, what a party pooper.) I decided to make a list of the 5 reasons why I think Target is addicting. Here it is!

OOTD: Country Chic

Hey guys! I don't know what it is about this outfit but when I wear it I feel like I'm wearing a "mom" outfit. I know I am a mom but i feel even more like it with this outfit. Maybe it's because the top is from Ann Taylor which is a grown up store in my opinion. Or maybe it's all the cut of the shirt, who know?! I really am liking this outfit though.

Tasty Tuesdays: Taco Ring

Hey guys! I'm back today with another Tasty Tuesday post. Today's recipe is one of my favorites! My family and I are big fans of tacos. But sometimes it's nice to make your taco's a little differently to add variety. I found this recipe for a taco ring in a Pampered Chef recipe book and have changed it a little to make it more my own and what my family likes.

1 pound ground beef
1 taco seasoning mix
2 packages of crescents
sour cream
