Corn and Tomato Dip Recipe

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was relaxing and we stayed home most of the weekend, so that was nice after being so busy lately.

Summer time is known for BBQ and get together's with friends. Along with swimming, fireworks, late nights, and just a good time! We get invited to a lot of parties and get together's throughout the summer and I always like to bring something to pass around or if I'm throwing the party I like to make enough snacks for everyone.

I found this recipe for Corn and Tomato Dip and it looked so good and perfect for the summer that I had to try. It was a hit! We used some Tortilla scoops to eat it with and it was the perfect, light snack. Healthy too, which is always a plus!

Here is the recipe! You can add a can of black beans to it as well but I'm not a fan of beans so I left it out. My husband wasn't very happy about that but it was still good! I think next time I'll be nice and add the beans and just pick around them and I also want to try it with avocado because I think that would be really good.

This recipe is also gluten free! And I think that the cilantro is what makes this recipe taste so good, it gives it a nice fresh taste and it was amazing!









Corn and Tomato Dip 

What you need:

1 (14 oz) can corn - drained

1 medium tomato - diced

1 green bell pepper - diced

1/2 cup red onion - diced

1 clove garlic - diced

2 TBSP fresh cilantro - chopped

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup red wine vinegar

2 TBSP fresh lime juice

salt and pepper to taste

Recipe:

1. In a large bowl, combine corn,  (beans if desired), tomatoes, bell pepper, onion, garlic and cilantro.

2. Add Olive Oil, red wine vinegar, lime juice, salt and pepper. Mix it all together.

3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips or anything else you would like to try it with!

The Jaclyn Hill Palette by Morphe Review

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you had a great weekend! We didn't do too much this weekend, which was fine with me. My husband worked both days so the boys and I just relaxed, did some cleaning and some playing.

Have you ever had your mind made up on a purchase weeks before it released? Ive done it with several things and the Jaclyn Hill Palette was no exception. I was sold once I heard about it. And wanted it even more once she released a picture of the colors. It looked so pretty and I loved the mix of colors she was incorporating in her palette.

Homemade Slime

My boys and I saw a commercial the other day for making homemade slime using Elmer's Glue. They thought it was so neat and wanted to make it. I decided we would go ahead and give it a try!




I looked the recipe up on Elmer's website, made my list of things we needed (Only 4 ingredients and i had 2 of them at home already!), and off we went to Walmart to pick up the items we needed.

The recipe was super easy and they had so much fun helping me make it. Next time , my oldest wants me to add some glitter to his. Sounds like a good idea to me!

Recipe (via Elmer's Website)

4 ounces Elmer's white glue

1/2 TBSP Baking Soda

Your Choice of food coloring

1 TBSP Contact lens solution

Directions:

1. Pour the entire 4 oz bottle of glue into a bowl.

2. Add the baking soda and stir well.

3. Add the food coloring. Add as much or as little as you want to get the color you would like.

4. Add the contact lens solution. Stir it in until it becomes harder to stir and the mixture becomes slim.

5. Take out of bowl and knead with both of your hands. If the slime stays too sticky, add a little bit more contact solution.

6. Let your kid enjoy! Make sure to be around them when they are playing with their slime. It should not be eaten.

Beachbody on Demand Review: How it Works and What you Will Find

Happy Monday! The start of another week. I hope everyone had a great weekend and hopefully you don't have to go back to work until Wednesday and you get an extended holiday weekend! My husband picked up some extra shifts at work so unfortunately he is working today and tomorrow but we didn't really have anything planned anyways.

I'm sure you've heard of Beachbody, unless you live under a rock! Beachbody is a company that sells many different great workout programs along with Shakeology, apparel, performance line (pre workouts, protein shakes, etc.) and they assign you a Beachbody coach. That would be someone like me! I am on a journey to help others feel good about themselves through health and fitness just like it makes me feel great!

Core De Force Results

Happy Wednesday friends! I hope everyone is having a great week. I wanted to share my Core De Force results with you today.

What is Core De Force? It is an MMA kickboxing style workout. The program is 30 days long and the workouts range from 30 minutes up to 47 minutes. The 21 Day Fix style portion control cups are also incorporated into this program.

Happy Monday! I love Mondays, you know why? Because it is the start to a new week . A fresh start. I am currently doing the Core De Force workout and I had a couple slip ups this weekend with my eating so it'll be nice to get back on track today.

I can't wait till my oldest is on his summer break starting the end of this week. lots of in things in store for this summer !

I wanted to review one of my favorite workout necessities today. Yes, this product is necessary . I started using beachbody performance product energize only 2 months ago and it's a game changer.

Shakeology Mug Cake

Happy Wednesday! And Happy March 1st! Can you believe it's already March?!? I don't understand where time is going but if it could slow down just a bit that would be great!

 I wanted to share with you a new recipe I tried last night. I have a horrible sweet tooth, and it usually causes me to fail at eating healthy. Once I have one sweet, it turns into 2, then 3, 4,5 ... OK you get the picture. But seriously, I have such a hard time when I am around sweets. Being a mommy of 3 little boys we always have some sort of sweet or snack in the house and sometimes I have no self control and indulge a little too much.

Starting The 21 Day Fix

So here I am, it's supposed to be week 2 of the 21 day fix. I should be starting to get into a routine with the workouts and eating healthier should be getting easier. What's happening instead? I am starting all over with week 1 this week.

I hate to admit defeat, but I messed up my 1st week. I had a rough week personally with sick babies and some personal things and I used it as an excuse to eat horrible. I had fast food, sweets and just didn't eat good at all. I just kept feeling bad for myself and didn't give a crap what I ate. Horrible attitude to have!
